Learn with Loopla and the Art of Granting Ourselves Space

Updated: Apr 7

This week, I finally hit the launch button on something I've been thinking about and working on for a while – Learn with Loopla! It's been a mix of excitement, nerves, and a bunch lot of planning, but seeing it come to life feels like a weight off my shoulders. Learn with Loopla is an online learning platform designed to inspire and empower creative minds. Offering a variety of courses ranging from Adobe Illustrator to mindset transformation, Learn with Loopla aims to equip individuals with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in the world of surface design.

Now that Learn with Loopla has launched, I've given myself permission to pause before diving into the next project. This has given me a newfound sense of freedom and I've been diving into new passions. From starting a daily art practice to spontaneous runs and even dipping my toes into a Zumba class. And it all started with a little bit of breathing room, which is something I've not done before. I'm normally feeling the pressure to just keep going at 100 miles an hour, and I don't mean on the treadmill!

I've been implementing these new habits by habit stacking, inspired by James Clear's Atomic Habits. It's all about linking a new habit to one you already do regularly, like brushing your teeth in the morning or having your morning coffee. For me, I've been starting my working day with art creation instead of diving straight into emails, tasks and distractions. By linking the new habit, i.e. art creation, to one you already have in place, i.e. sitting down at my desk to start the day, it becomes easier to remember and integrate into your routine. It feels so good to be creating regularly again and giving myself permission to do so for a set amount of time each day.

My other new habit, running, was inspired by my son's upcoming school cross country. I decided to take James Clear's advice and start with tiny steps towards this new habit and do a short 1km run. I had no intentions to start running but I think having this new space in my mind opened me up to new possibilities.

Wrapping up big projects hasn't always left me feeling this liberated. But since I began creating tailored empowering beliefs and a belief plan, it has changed things immensely in the way I approach things. These tools have been absolute game-changers, helping me conquer any lingering limiting beliefs. I teach all about this in my class Turn Limiting Beliefs into Empowering Beliefs with Chat GPT and Adobe Express, which is available through Learn with Loopla. Embracing this mindset shift has really opened up a world of possibilities for me.

If you're interested in diving deeper into the world of habit formation and making positive changes in your life, I highly recommend checking out James Clear's book, Atomic Habits. It's packed with practical tips and insights that have truly made a difference for me.
